Desert Dwelling 8 months and counting. . . IT'S HOT!

We relocated to El Centro, CA  in October of 07 and have been living happily out here by Kyle's beloved dunes and his family's beloved Colorado river.  As nervous as I was to move it has been amazing, and I can't complain too much, I am exactly 1 hour and 40 minutes from my door to my parents door in San Diego.  I absolutely love the ward we are in and the people out here. The group of women are so supportive and fun.  I am having a blast.

The reason for our relocation was of course . . . my Hubby was blessed enough to land a job with the El Centro Fire Department.  Probation is a year, and I wont lie, it has been rough, but 3 more months and we can take an extremely deep breath.

This is my first ever website so I hope it turns out OK.  I was inspired by Jayne and AJ Edmond and their Blog, so here goes . . .

Our 3 girls Love it out here, but since it is now June we just keep hearing how HOT they think it is, and I just keep telling them 103* is nothing, it will hit 117* no problem, and come August we will have more humidity than usual for these parts.  Sufficed to say we are now starting our Summer runs to San Diego to escape the heat from time to time, and forgoing groceries to pay for gas.  Who needs food when you can keep cool?

Hallee is our oldest and is now 5 and will be attending Kindergarten this year.  She is a lot like her Daddy (pure Tomboy).  Her main ambition in life is to be COOL and AWESOME! She'll tell you without even having to be asked.  She is a great helper and just a fun kid to kick it with.

Jessie is our sweet middle child.  She is now three and prances around on her tip toes.  She does not walk from place to place, she dances.  Such a little princess, but one that always rolls with the punches.  She has a huge love for dance, much to my delight.

Samantha is our baby that's barely a baby anymore.  18 months and she is the spitting image of Kyle.  She is very headstrong, but such the comedian.  Always trying to get a laugh.  She is a blast and we enjoy every bit of her.

Kyle is working hard at the department and making us so proud with his accomplishments. I always thought it would be nice to have a hot firefighter for a husband and now I do!  Some girls have all the luck.  His schedule is a dream and we now what days he will work for a year in advance.  It is called the Kelley Schedule.  He only works 10 days a month.  4 days on with a day off in between and then he gets 6 days off, then 4 days on with a day off in between and then 4 days off.  We love how much time we get to spend together as a family.  Kyle loves it especially because in the winter we are only 30 minutes from the dunes and play play play!

I was lucky enough to find a brand new women only gym out here to continue teaching Pilates, Yoga, Salsa, Hip Hop and Aqua Aerobics.  I love it and the people are amazing, so kind. Play group is every Thursday, so basically I get to have some Mom time while we kick the kids into the backyard for their playtime.  They have also organized in our Stake Girls Night Out, so Moms can get a night off once a month.  Like I said I am loving it.

Wish me luck here I go to figure out how to add pictures
